Audience members start their journey seated at tables in a fisherman’s tavern, where they are regaled with salty tales of shipwrecks past, before the operatic Sirens call you to the shores of the lake where the rest of the gothic myth unfolds in mythic proportions.  The highlight of the piece will be an opera aria sung from a siren floating on the water. synopsis

Tender Deadly Voices is a collection of love stories. The first half of the performance is an interactive set of fisherman’s tales; each one dark, camp, funny or tragic. The second half is outdoor and paralleled against the Greek Myth of the Sirens, a group of women whose beautiful song lured mariners to their death upon the rocks. Like the fabled creatures Miranda entices a potential lover Adam. He believes that she is vulnerable that his love will save her. In his attempts to do so she destroys him.
